BCAP Inaugural Family Weekend Celebration

The MIT Office of Minority Education (OME) and the BCAP Project Team invite you to attend the livestream celebration BCAP: Hands Connecting Hearts and Minds. Initiated by Black alumni, the BCAP program enables students to make a positive impact in underserved communities of color.  

MIT President R. Rafael Reif will open our livestream event, followed by remarks fromDiOnetta Jones Crayton, BCAP Administrator, and Associate Dean and Director of OME.

BCAP Fellows and their alumni mentors will briefly discuss their projects. Outgoing MITAA President Erich Caulfield SM ’01, PhD ’06 will moderate a discussion among our remarkable fellows, followed by Q&A.

The BCAP Fellows are: Danielle Geathers ’22 (President, Undergraduate Association); Mofeyifoluwa Oluwalana ’22; Gina Lee 'G-MCP; Jasmine Martin 'G-MCP; and Melissa Isidor 'G-MCP. Mentors Stephanie Espy ‘01, Burunda Prince ‘83, and Michael JohnsonMCP ’97 will also share their experience working with the students.
